The Boeing 727-200 is a three engine mid sized commercial airliner ideal for short and mid range operations. The max take-off weight of 209,500 pounds, 189 passengers, cruising speed of 0.81 Mach and range of 4450 Km meant the 'T-Tailed' B727 was quickly adopted by over 75 major airlines world wide plus many additional charter and military applications. Entered into service in 1967 it is still successfully operating after over 40 years.
Simulator Features
The simulator was manufactured by Redifon in 1978. The host computer is a SEL 32/77, with Cat A linkage. The visual is an SP1, 2 Window Night / Dusk system. Generic & specific airports are available. The motion is a full 6 axis hydraulic powered platform constructed by Redifon and has an analogue control loading. Radio aids are worldwide. The engine type is Pratt & Whitney JT8D-15A.
